Due to receding river levels, Olmstead lock and dam ohio river mile marker 964.4 will begin wicket raising operations on 13 jan 2025. THE NAVIGATION LANE will be SHIFTED FROM THE NAVIGATION PASS TO THE LOCK CHAMBERS. Tow sizes through the Lock Chambers are as follows: Down bound tow maximum dimensions will be 108' x 1200' including towboat, with no more than 15 regulation barges and not to exceed 3 wide. No hip barges or other deviation that could degrade normal steerage characteristics are allowed for down bound tows. Up bound tow maximum dimensions will be 108' x 1200' including towboat, with no more than 16 regulation barges and not to exceed 3 wide.
