PacWave has also installed four long-term surface marker buoys that visually delineate the corners of the test site: NW (44°34.9988'N, 124°14.4998'W), NE (44°35.0465'N, 124°13.1008'W), SE (44°33.0437'N, 124°12.9700'W), and SW (44°33.0000'N, 124°14.3730'W). These corner markers are approximately 9 feet tall, have a yellow / red hull, a fixed yellow tower structure with integrated radar reflector, green grating on the lower half of the tower, reflective tape on the upper tower, and are lighted. These markers are also single-point moorings and will remain in place as part of PacWave’s maintained offshore infrastructure. Mariners should be aware that subsurface equipment and mooring components may also be present. In an effort to prevent confusion, Michigan City West Pierhead Light (LLNR 19565) has been temporarily disestablished until dredging can be completed.
